A rare Paco Rabanne Brutalist necklace and earring set, circa 1960s, composed of gold-tone metal articulated with green and pink faceted beads. Conceived during the formative decade in which Rabanne radically redefined couture through linked metal, plastic and modular construction, the demi-parure translates the same architectural logic into jewellery, combining rigid geometric structure with movement and saturated colour. Trained as an architect before turning to fashion, Rabanne emerged as one of the defining figures of the 1960s avant-garde, replacing needle and thread with rings, pliers and industrial components and fundamentally expanding the material vocabulary of haute couture.
